Jesus is our PASSOVER LAMB! Once and for all!
Exodus 12 gives us so many insights to the original Passover lamb, therefore, showing us who Jesus is as our Passover Lamb.
Exodus 12:6 (NLT) – “Take special care of this chosen animal until the evening of the fourteenth day of this first month. Then the whole assembly of the community of Israel must slaughter their lamb or young goat at twilight.”
NOTE: On the tenth day of their first month they were to take this lamb from the flock and bring it into their homes. They were to examine the lamb and watch the lamb. Honestly, that lamb was to become a part of the family.
What a picture of our Passover Lamb.
Jesus came to this earth as a man… lived an unblemished life. That perfect Lamb. He lived His life out loud so everyone could see who He was and how He lived. Even Pilate declared, “I find no fault in this man!”
Jesus showed us how to live dependent upon the Father and yielded to His plan. Hearing His voice and doing what the Father said. He took on the form of a servant and became obedient to the Father (Philippians 2:7).
Jesus revealed how to walk in authority and power and told us we can do it too… and greater things than that we could do (John 14:12).
He was truly without blemish and truly our Passover Lamb.
One More Thing…
It would have been impossible to have a lamb in the house and not foster a relationship with it, watch it, talk to it, pet it, feed it.
It would have been somewhat of an emotional time during the sacrifice of that lamb. But the blood of that lamb… over their door posts..would be the thing that saved that family. That lamb would provide salvation for all who had that relationship with him
BELOVED: There are a lot of people who will celebrate Easter. They even know the story of our Passover Lamb being crucified.
HOWEVER: If you don’t have a personal relation- ship with that Lamb…then you are not under the blood and don’t enjoy the benefits of the blood.
TODAY: Spend some time building your relation- ship with your Passover Lamb today. His blood is still working on behalf of those who know Him and trust in Him.
Behold the Lamb! Really behold Him today!
