John 1:29b – “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
We are looking at Exodus 12, the requirements of the original Passover lamb at the original Passover to learn valuable Truths about the ONCE AND FOR ALL Passover Lamb.
The Children of Israel were to find an unblemished lamb and roast it, and then they are given a very important detail:
Exodus 12:10 – “And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.”
NOTICE: They were supposed to consume ALL OF THE LAMB. Don’t let any of it waste. No leftovers… no “I’m not in the mood for lamb tonight.” Consume all of the Lamb.
REMEMBER: This is a picture of Jesus… our Passover Lamb. The One who went to the cross and shed His blood so we could be in a FOREVER COVENANT with Yahweh!
What’s the picture?
BELOVED: If Jesus provided it on the cross… don’t leave it untouched! Consume it all!
Don’t just eat what you think is the most important part of the Lamb…take it all! Enjoy it all! Don’t leave any of it on the bone.
Psalm 103:1-5 says it this way:
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth si renewed like the eagle’s.
Those are all benefits… take these things for yourself! Enjoy it all!
Here are a few more things that you need to make sure you don’t leave on the bone.
2 Corinthians 5:21 – “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 Peter 2:24 – “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
2 Corinthians 8:9 – “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
REMEMBER: Jesus paid it ALL…so enjoy it all!
