Malachi 3:10- “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
I have a question for you, today. Do you want the blessing of the Lord to be upon your finances and your life? Would you like God Almighty to bless and increase your bank accounts? I am pretty sure it would be the exception for anyone to say “no way, I don’t want God’s hand on my money!” As matter of fact I would imagine the answer for anyone reading this article is that we need as much of God’s help as we can get.
The simplicity and the magnitude of the matter is that if you want Him blessing your finances, then you are going to have to do things His way. It is an amazing thought that people want God’s help, but insist that they can and will do things their own way. Their thought is, “God may give me things to do. but I don’t trust Him enough to do what He tells me to do…yet, I trust Him enough to help me out with my money.”
Malachi 3:10 clearly tells us that God desires to pour us out a blessing a big blessing. a blessing that we cannot contain, but we must be faithful in bringing our tithes into the storehouse (your local church). People want to argue the tithe, but God says that if you want His blessing on your life you MUST bring your tithe to Him. Not bringing your tithe to the house of God and yet believing that God will bless your finances makes about as much sense as keeping your money in your wallet and still believing that it will gain interest through your bank. Can’t be done! You must let go!
Proverbs 28:20 tells us that a “faithful man shall abound with blessings..” In other words, it isn’t enough to HAVE tithed at one time. But to be faithful with every increase that you get to bring the tithe in to the Lord…then the rest of your money and finances will be blessed by God.
Consistency is the key!
Another step to doing what God says for you todowith your finances is to bring an offering. Malachi 3:8 tells us that your offerings are also included in verse 10 and the blessing. God wants to know that you are someone He can trust to distribute finances where He needs them distributed. The Word is full of this truth:
Proverbs 11:24 – “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”
Luke 6:38 – “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Galatians 6:7- “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Beloved, if you desire God’s blessing to be upon you for increasing your finances. Being a liberal giver (2 Corinthians 9:6) will get God involved in blessing your finances in a major way…I mean BIG TIME! If you are someone that God can trust to distribute blessings faithfully for His kingdom… then it would be to His advantage to keep blessing your accounts.
So, be that person!
Be a tither…consistent!
Be a giver…liberal!
And watch God get involved in your finances like never before!
