Jesus is our Passover Lamb. He did it all… all to Him we owe!
When we look at the original Passover Lamb, we can see what Jesus has actually done for us!
1 Peter 1:19 – “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
In Exodus 12 we see more of what was to be done with the lamb;
Exodus 12:7,13
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
When the blood was applied over the doorpost of their houses, the enemy could NOT cross that line!
The blood provided life!
Leviticus 17:11a – “For the life of the flesh is in the blood.”
John 6:53,56
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
OBVIOUSLY this doesn’t mean the actual of eating of flesh and blood, but it does mean that unless you accept the work that was about to be purchased by my blood, passion, and violent death, ye cannot be saved.
“Oh, the blood of Jesus…”
Matthew 26:28 tells us that His blood sealed the NEW AND BETTER COVENANT with Yahweh.
Ephesians 1:7 says we are redeemed by His blood. Bought out of the curse by His blood.
Ephesians 2:13 tells us that we have hope and access to His promises through His blood.
Colossians 1:20 says peace was won by His blood.
John 6:54 says we have eternal life through the blood
Revelation 12:11 declares that we OVERCOME the enemy by the blood of THE LAMB.
BELOVED: You can know about the Lamb… you can sing about the Lamb… you can even go to church where they talk about the Lamb… but if you have not accepted the Lamb into your life and accepted all that He has done for you, the blood is no more than a story.
Accept the blood over your life today and TRULY ENJOY LIFE!
